Meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month at the Field Centre at the top of Cranmore Lane, near its junction with the Farnborough Road (A325), and speakers at the meetings cover a wide range of subjects, mostly with a natural history conservation bias.
Non-members are welcome to attend for a small donation.

The Reserve is just over 55 acres (22.5 Hectares) in extent and consists of mixed (mostly broad leaved) woodland of which a third is coppiced commercially, a 4 acre field, ponds, streams, a seepage bog which is the main source of the River Blackwater, about 8 acres of heathland and some native conifers. These very diverse habitats support a wide variety of fauna and flora.
During the year there are guided walks, a Fungus Foray, and occasional special events at the Field Centre which have included demonstrations of crafts, speakers with special appeal for children and various fund raising events, held in conjunction with other conservation groups.
