Our History
The Rowhill Nature Reserve Society was registered as a charity in 1968
The Reserve is secondary ancient woodland and the show of spring flowers is most impressive. Sweet Chestnut trees were planted to supply the hop industry that was located in the neighbourhood.

First time visit after being in the area for 30 years. Will go again on a sunny day. Lovely easy walk on the Blackwater path.

Gorgeous forest and walk for dogs or just for a walk. Beautiful flowers, lovely walks, 2 car parks to get here, and sometimes I just go here to relax. Overall, a decent forest!

A lovely place to walk and take a dog. There are various habitats within a woodland area, which is looked after by the local council and volunteers, who are committed and do a great job. Worth a visit with or without a dog! ????

A very pleasant walk for the family. There are steps in places so might not be good for pushchairs or wheel chairs. The people who work there are very nice and helpful, providing maps of the reserve and info on events that are happening.
