Calling all little fairies, elves, pixies and gnomes… join us for a magical time at Rowhill Nature reserve.

Come along to Rowhill Nature Reserve with your grown-up humans to see if you can find all the homes of secret, magical forest creatures.

✨️

We would love to see you come dressed as a Fairy, Pixie or your favourite woodland creature.

✨️

Enjoy the delights of a self-guided stroll through the enchanting copse, searching for the homes of magical beings.

✨️

Entrance will be FREE plus after your magical walk return to the field centre where there will be more activities ✏️ and homemade refreshments ☕️ available plus our shop will be open.

✨️

We will have a tombola, pixie pots and other things – all just 25p each – so please bring along plenty of change.

Easter Egg Trail

This will now be an indoor event held at the Rowhill Field Centre at our usual Sunday opening times of 2pm to 4.30p.

We intend to reprogram the full magical trail out in the copse in May/June

Join us for a magical evening at Rowhill Nature reserve. Enjoy the delights of a self-guided stroll through the enchanting copse, searching for Santa’s silly lost reindeer as you take the trail illuminated by twinkling fairy lights. After your walk enjoy a warm drink and light refreshments to finish off your evening.

Our Christmas fair will be held on the same day – starting at 3pm so you could come along earlier if you are looking for stocking fillers or a present for that special person. There will be a selection of stalls and some children’s activities.

When: Sunday 8th Dec 4.30pm to 6.30pm

How much: £2 for each adult or child

Please note that we accept card as well as cash. Do bring some cash for Christmas stalls and refreshments.

Easter Fun Trail
Saturday 30th March
10.30am to 12.30pm
£3 per child.

Starting from Rowhill Field Centre, follow a trail and at the end each child participating will win an Easter Egg.

BOOKING ESSENTIAL to ensure that the Easter Bunny can find enough eggs to leave enough for each child to have one. Please call (07729) 666 118

Back at Rowhill Field Centre there will be an opportunity to make either an Easter hat from newspaper or create a mask. We will also be holding a raffle and a few other activities aimed at everyone aged from 3 to 99.

The Family Fun Day is still GOING AHEAD Today from 11 til 3. We have adjusted our offering so that most of the activities are inside the Rowhill Field Centre or under the canopy, so we are all looking forward to Seeing you there. Remember most of the Activities are FREE but do bring Cash or Card for the Tombola & Refreshments or if you wish to make a Donation.

This year, to keep everyone a bit cooler, we will hold our summer event up at the Rowhill Field Centre (top of Cranmore Lane) in the carpark and the shade of the surrounding woodland. The field centre is always lovely and cool no matter how hot the weather is outside.

There will be lots of fun family activities, crafts and games.

Refreshments will be available.

Come along and chat to Rowhill Nature Reserve Society and Blackwater Valley Countyside Partnership to find out how our conservation volunteers manage the woodland.

A free drop in session for all the family to enjoy.

Join local artists Ginny Farquhar, Barbara Touati-Evans and Gemma MacLennan from Rushmoor Art Collective to produce a collaborative piece of art, taking inspiration from the varied habitats at Rowhill Nature Reserve.

Using the colours and textures of Rowhill as inspiration, be part of the creative process, and contribute to a collaborative art piece. Explore using foraged matetials, recycled textiles, threads and yarn. Visitors will be part of the creative process, weaving, wrapping, crocheting and stitching.

The artists will be in the Rowhill Field Centre from 11am to 3pm – pop in whenever you like – stay for as little or as long as you like – all ages welcome.

Save the date if you’re local to the copse and would like to join the artists in using nature as your creative muse.

Our popular family event of the Starlight Walk through Rowhill Nature Reserve will be held on Sunday 10th December 23 from 4pm to 6pm. Experience walking through the copse, lit by fairy lights and see if you can find all of Santa’s reindeer.

£10 a family (cash or card).
